LIE

i bought a pair of charcoal grey linen pants with a 4-button sailor waistband at H&M for $29.90.

they needed to be hemmed & i decided to repurpose the lopped off fabric & add my own personal detail to the bottom of the pant leg.

TRUTH

i have cutter's anxiety. i balk at cutting fabric because i'm afraid i'm going to screw up.

however, i am making every attempt to get over this. i pinned up the hem, measured for length, then grabbed hold of the scissors & boldly made the first cut.

except i forgot to unfold the fabric before making the cut, so instead of cutting extra fabric off the bottom, i cut a nice big gash in the middle of the pant leg.
