copenhagen: SS09.

this is the first time i've tried to follow Copenhagen Fashion Week & now that i've gotten a glimpse of Spring/Summer 09 by Danish designers, I'm looking forward to their fall runways when the time comes. the trend i'm seeing at CPW is a confident mix of the hard & the soft. feminine, without being too much so. Maybe this is the Danish way? I don't know enough about their designers just yet, so I'll be staying tuned.

Day Birger et Mikkelsen presented dresses in soft pastels or black + white, paired with white anklets, spectators (i *love* spectators) & bow ties:






Noir's (Peter Ingwersen) mostly black + white palette with an soft edge.





(Rutzou (Susanne) is just a breath of fresh spring air)--



& this designer (unidentified, unfortunately, but i really did try) was part of the CIFF Press Show Copenhagen International Fashion Fair) Press Show. Soft colors, florals mixed with grey and black--

as i browse these collections (and there are still a couple of days left) i'm struck with how comfortable everything looks.

like if you owned any one of the pieces it would be the thing in your closet you referred to as "the most comfortable ______ i've ever owned."
