going back to this-- Gareth Pugh has designed a christmas tree for Topshop's newest store in London:

"Neon was an obvious choice for me, linking it both to the aesthetic of the Moët & Chandon room I designed at London Fashion Week in September, and the set of my debut show in Paris for spring/summer 2009."

i cringe when christmas starts elbowing its way into our lives. nothing against christmas itself, it's THE CHRISTMAS MACHINE spewing christmas crap at me from halloween through new years that i have issues with.
i say, if you're forced to suffer an assault from THE CHRISTMAS MACHINE, better seemingly floating tubes of white neon than cheap santa decorations & bells, the endless bells.
ringy ding ding.
