& yet-- i took my favorite brownie recipe of all time.
the one i've been using for years.
the one that no other brownie recipe can compare to*:

do not be fooled by the fudginess in the photo.

they were terrible.

it would be one thing if i'd ruined a pan of someone else's brownies. but to take the holy grail of brownie recipes & mess with it?

for shame.
