last weekend i decided to make basbousa, but my basbousa recipe was lost in either PC crash #1 or PC crash #2 so i picked a random recipe off the internet.
the blanched-by-hand almonds (oy) nestled right into the cake in a nice way, but the basbousa sucked.
i'm not really that interested in baking these days & i apparently don't give a rat's about my food photography either. the last photo i decided to submit to Tastespotting was rejected for 'unflattering composition'.
unflattering composition = the civilized way to tell you your photo sucks.
pretty much everything is hilarious to me these days & for no good reason.
