i'm shipping the financier pan back to sur la table for a refund.

there is mini and then there is absurdly small, which is not what i bargained for at $26 + tax + shipping. (no pan dimensions on the web site. i probably should have called them.)

I showed the pan to C who cracked up when she saw it. she said it's like a candy mold.

it's time for The Plan B & i've been saving this recipe from MS mag (no financier mold required) for the occasion-

i don't have a 13-by-4-inch tart pan with a removable bottom, but i'm going to see if i can't make it work somehow in a loaf pan.

i have missions, although sometimes i wish i didn't.
